What are the factors that contribute to my concerns about headaches and what can I do about them?

Chronic pain is an invitation for you to become curious. The pain is trying to get your attention, and you may find your explorations of the roots of the pain illuminating. You will learn new ways to approach the pain that may give you relief.

This TLC teaches an Integrative Whole Health approach to headaches.

In the Conventional Medicine Education film, you will review five types of headaches.  Emergency Headaches require you to take immediate action.  The other four types of headaches are Migraine, Sinus, Muscle Tension and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) headaches. We teach you what you can expect when you consult the conventional medicine system about your headaches and what that system offers to you. 

In the Food film, you will learn about the inflammatory conditions that contribute to primary headaches such as migraines and tension headaches. You will learn about beverages and foods, including recipes such as a Very Berry Powerful Smoothie, that help diminish inflammation in your body, which can also ease your stress and help you to make lifestyle changes.

Qi Gong’s usefulness in helping with headaches is rooted in releasing the energy of the upper body so that it drains into the lower body. Your headaches may be caused by an energetic bottleneck in the upper body that does not allow the energy to descend, and this film helps you learn to release the energy with a simple and fun postural adjustment. In Qi Gong, there is a saying that “when the qi descends, the 100 diseases are vanquished.” You will learn the movement of “sitting thighs” which is the fundamental posture from which everything else is born.

The Mind/Body/Spirit Disciplines film guides you to look for three possible meanings in your headaches, including self-criticism, overthinking and being influenced by others’ criticism. You may find your head symptoms improve with a constellation exercise that helps you release criticism from your energy system.

As you do the exercises in this TLC, you may discover that your symptoms have been hiding deeper problems, so if you get triggered, please engage in an individual session, perhaps therapy, so that you can learn more tools to let go of the patterns that triggered you. You deserve to have more support.
