We Recommend That You
Give a nod of deep gratitude to Ana Negrón, MD, who has created and shared with you a synopsis of Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s seminal work, The China Study. With Ana, you can walk through what the New York Times called The Grand Prix of Epidemiology, a unique and groundbreaking study that will never again be replicated. Its raw data has been shared, tested and proven by scientists all over the globe.
What did it show? That animal protein is associated with the most dangerous health challenges of our time: cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and many other common diseases of inflammation.
It also showed that a pattern of eating based on whole plant food can mitigate, prevent and even reverse disease.
Two million copies of Dr. Campbell’s book have been sold, which sounds like a lot until you realize that there are 350 million people in this country. We still have a long way to go.

Course Description
Dr. Ana Negrón was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she attended medical school and then completed a Family Medicine residency at Philadelphia’s Hahnemann Hospital. Her conventional medicine training taught her how to diagnose her patients and treat them with medications, but after a number of years she felt that something was not right.
I was adding more medications to younger and younger patients with no plan for how to stop them. In fact, people were getting sicker right before my eyes. All this while we were exploiting our environment, its sentient beings, and polluting the planet.. So it was then that I gave up eating animals, not based on science, but on a philosophical ethical decision for my soul.
-Ana Negrón, MD
During a self-financed two-year sabbatical, Ana learned about nutrition from research free of financial ties and found a trove of published material linking lower rates of disease in those eating plant based. Those two years empowered her to offer more resources that could help her patients.
Ana brought food to the clinic where she volunteered and began giving monthly cooking classes.
I was interested to see how they reacted in this new way of connecting with their bodies. While the patients were enjoying it, my colleagues showed no interest, but that never stopped me.
-Ana Negrón, MD
She read Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s books, The China Study and Whole, and felt that all she had been learning was reinforced...that she was standing on firm scientific ground. She regards The China Study as the most comprehensive nutrition study ever conducted, but not the last word. She now teaches people to understand their bodies, how food nourishes them, and how to recover health through their eating habits.
Too many people are already sick, ill informed, dependent on tons of supplements, guided by influencers, and following people who are spreading disinformation.
-Ana Negrón, MD
Like Ana, Kathryn regards The China Study as one of the most important books she has ever read, and yet it’s common for her to meet people who “know of it” but have never read it. When she heard Ana give the talk included in this podcast, Kathryn knew that having Ana share this with the Living Whole community would be life changing for anyone who views this film.
In what might be the most influential 45 minutes you have ever devoted to yourself, you will be able to experience Ana’s clear and coherent summary of The China Study. It will help you remember and act upon the most important points about this gift that Dr. Campbell and his research colleagues have given to all of us.
The best teachers have deep and vast knowledge and know how to synthesize what they want you to learn in a way that is elegant, accessible and deeply informative. Ana is one of those “best teachers.”
She shares with you her commitment and passion for helping you understand how your health and the health of our planet can be improved by your understanding and acting upon Dr. Campbell’s discoveries.
We all hope that this will inspire you to change what you put in your grocery cart, make in your kitchen, place on your plate, and put into your body.
