Steve’s song, Everybody Needs a Little Lift Today, was written for a “ladies’ luncheon” to benefit Stage West, where Steve was the Managing Director. The scheduled speaker was an expert on facelifts.
Would you please write a song about facelifts? I said, “of course.” I was absolutely stumped until the day of the event and then I had an inspiration around 11 o’clock before a 12 o’clock luncheon.
