Kyra Strasberg

About Courses

Kyra Strasberg is the founder of Willow Oak Wellness, an integrative practice blending therapeutic yoga, Pilates, somatic movement, and dynamic breathwork to help people reconnect with their bodies and reclaim a sense of ease.

Her path began on stage, working her way up through the ranks of Boston Ballet from apprentice to principal ballerina. An abrupt foot injury introduced her to Pilates, and she never looked back. She trained under Romana Kryzinowska, who studied with Joe Pilates himself, and became a teacher of teachers in 2001.

Yoga found her the day she retired from ballet, first with Rolf Gates in Boston, then through various certifications including yoga therapy, yoga for osteoporosis, PainCare Aware and restorative yoga. Because of her innate wisdom of the body and kinesthetic awareness, Rolf Gates had her teaching before she was even certified!

Her work is grounded in nervous-system science and trauma-informed language which allows her to meet you where you are. When stress, pain, or burnout have left you feeling uncertain, Kyra offers a path back to resilience, presence, and wholeness.

Having worked with Kathryn in the early stages of her private integrative whole health practice, Odyssey, Kyra has seen first hand the results her clients achieved through a deliberate and integrative model of wellness. She’s thrilled to be a part of Living Whole Online where the union of education and empowered healing puts your life back in your own hands.
