Welcome to our first 2025 Living Whole Online Sunday TLC !
As the seasons change and the days darken, our energy can fade like the softening Winter light. Some traditional practices can help us through the gloomy weather.
This is the first in an illuminating series of two sessions that focus on the theme of “Light”. Ursula Peer, a Traditional Chinese Medicine Nutrition and Detox expert, helps us navigate the transition from holiday to the new year with a captivating presentation on traditional health practices, Qi, seasonal change, and nutrition. Ursula shows us how we can harness these concepts to be our own sources of light in these quiet weeks of darkness.

Caring for our ecosystems has the power to both help the world around us, and the ecosystem inside our bodies.
Dr. Neal Barnard, President of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and founder of CarbonWorks, has dedicated himself this very principle. After a helpful overview of the new website and TLC page by LWO Co-creator Dr. Mimi Choi, Neal shares the profound discoveries that demonstrate the power of a whole food, plant-based diet. In sharing feedback on our community’s eating habits, he also points to the importance of eating ethically to stop the mistreatment of animals. We viewed CarbonWorks’ film, Louder Than Words. Welcome to the Launch of Living Whole Online and our inaugural Sunday TLC Session!
What will our community look like? How will we learn together? Join us as we explore these questions amidst an exciting re-launch of Living Whole Online.
In this series of monthly meetings, thought-leaders in mindfulness, nutrition, and integrative health will join us to share profound insights into their respective fields. LWO Founder Dr. Kathryn Hayward and Co-creator Dr. Mimi Choi use this session to describe the learning philosophy at the core of Living Whole Online: to engage our brilliant community in open and constructive dialogue, as they would over a shared meal. To help us kickstart a culture of care for each other and ourselves, Chinese Traditional Medicine Nutrition expert Ursula Peer outlines a powerful Winter Immune Boost drink made of hot ginger and turmeric. From month to month, we will be joined by new facilitators who will give us a window into their various areas of expertise.
This meeting includes an introductory Jin Shin Jyutsu session on self-love with Derek Notman, and a closing sound bath transformation offered by Maia Ibar and Tristan Martineau, who acquaint us with sound meditation as a form of meditation.
