Pere Joan Rotger Genestra, co-founder of Medifresco, wanted to be a cook from a very young age, and when he finished high school, he enrolled in the Balearic Islands Hospitality School.

From there he was trained within the best kitchens in Spain, such as, for example:

  • the “Neichel”, a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Barcelona, the “Guggenheim de Bilbao”, also a 1 Michelin star restaurant, and the “Andreu Genestra” restaurant in Mallorca.
  • He was trained in Mexico, in “Espai-Sucre,” one of the best restaurant pastry schools, with one of the best pastry chefs in the world, Jordi Butron.
  • He has also collaborated in Turkey with Barceló Hotels, and in Mallorca, Spain in the Hotel Formentor and the Hotel Maricel.

In recent years he has worked in the Viva chain, running the Mirablau restaurant in Alcudia, Mallorca, and collaborating in staff training, preparing menus and recipes for the company.

Pere is the cook of Medifresco, he is the mind that will be behind all the dishes, in which he has put all his knowledge, experience and love, so that consumers can have a luxury restaurant experience in their own kitchens.
